Too often, individuals hold back on their dreams, because perfection trumps progress. Its important to realise that you are never going to change the world the moment you step foot in the ring, so why not learn as you go.
I chose a local hardware store as the shoot location, as a way to encapsulate the idea of 'building'. I find such an appeal in a real world photography setting, where a story can be told about the process behind the clothing, rather than just a studio shoot focusing on the clothing itself.
The feature picture, heading this excerpt, encapsulates the brands progression, and the process behind sampling. Pictured on the right is the brands first ever sample - a product that turned out to be nowhere near what id imagined. Too long, not wide enough, skinny sleeves and the complete wrong colour! Most importantly however, it turned out to be a physical representation of progression, and the art of learning from your actions and mistakes.
To be able to understand the power of learning from previous mistakes, proves to be fundamental to building a brand, and a life.
